Privacy Policy for PureBite

To deliver real-time food ingredient transparency, PureBite utilizes minimal, specific device capabilities as follows:

• Camera Access: PureBite requires device camera permission solely to scan product barcodes and nutrition labels in real time. All camera frames are processed directly on your device. Video feeds and photos are never recorded, saved, or uploaded to any remote server.
• Barcode Query Data: Barcode numbers (such as UPC/EAN) are sent to public, open food databases (e.g., Open Food Facts) exclusively to retrieve ingredient lists and nutritional facts. These requests are anonymous and do not contain any personally identifiable information.
• In-App Purchases & Subscriptions: All subscription purchases, billing records, and payment authentications are managed directly by Google Play In-App Billing. PureBite does not receive, process, or store credit card, debit card, or bank account numbers.

We believe in total privacy by design. Under no circumstances does PureBite collect or monetize the following:

• We do not collect names, personal email addresses, phone numbers, or contact books.
• We do not track or store your precise or approximate physical GPS location.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your data with third-party data brokers or advertising networks.

PureBite integrates with selected third-party services that operate under their own data protection policies:

Your scan history, product favorites, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device's local memory (MMKV/local storage). We do not operate external user account databases, meaning your scan records remain entirely on your physical device.

• Local Data Removal: Because all scan history and app preferences reside solely on your device, you can permanently erase all stored data at any time by clearing the app cache/storage in your Android settings or by uninstalling the PureBite application.
• No Account Deletion Needed: PureBite operates without user account creation or login credentials; no remote personal profiles or credentials exist on our servers to delete.
• Support Inquiries: If you contact us via email for support, you may request the immediate deletion of your correspondence history at any time by emailing arm.devstudio.apps@gmail.com.
